Luxuriant vineyards and beautiful views are the extraordinary setting of the over one century-old Ghione farm, set right in the middle of one of the most renowned areas for Moscato d'Asti production, just above Canelli, where the Bassano region rows of vines merge with the very famous Sant'Antonio ones.
Established by Ignazio Ghione and
later extended by his son Luigi and his grandson Carlo, the farm is
currently run by Anna, the last descendant of the "dynasty", with the
same traditional criteria: extreme care for vineyard growing, careful
attention to wine-making, exclusive use of their own grapes, whose
production aims at the constant search for enhancing qualities.
The vineyards are situated on spectacular hills dominated by the ancient
and elegant Contini sighting tower, perfectly exposed to the sun, at an
average altitude of 350 meters.
The whole manufacturing cycle, with a particular attention to a careful
selection of grapes, is directly managed by the Ghione family according
to the integrated fight criteria, to producing a wholesome and authentic
wines of the region.
The production includes DOC and DOCG wines such as Barbera, Dolcetto,
Chardonnay, but above all Moscato d’Asti, (we are placed in the most
historical “cru” of this grape).
